Bowmore Vault Edition First Release is an Islay single malt without an age statement, bottled at cask strength, 51.5%, in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in a new Bowmore series named after the distillery's first warehouse, which lies partly under water.
The colour is rich gold. Fresh fruit, sweet honey, cocoa, oak, fine peat smoke and a little salt show on the nose. The palate is fruity and honeyed, salty and smoky. The finish is long, with peat smoke and a little salt.
