Bowmore x Aston Martin Master's Selection 21 Year Old is Edition 1 of a collaboration between the Islay distillery and Aston Martin. Bowmore Master Blender Ron Welsh and Aston Martin's Marek Reichman set the cask proportions by the Golden Ratio: 61.8% of the vatting is 21-year-old Bowmore from first-fill Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, and 38.2% is older Bowmore stock, including a 35-year-old component. It is bottled at 51.8%. The nose is sweet and nutty, with Manuka honey, praline, grilled hazelnuts and tanned leather over raw Islay peat. Bitter dark chocolate, Morello cherries and coffee beans lead the palate, and the finish is sweet and spicy, with oak spice, chestnut cream and coconut.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
