Bowsaw American Whiskey is a bourbon in a 70cl bottle, distilled and aged in northern Kentucky near the Ohio river. Its name refers to the bowsaw, the cooper's saw used to cut the heads of whisky barrels.
The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whiskey spent 4 years in ex-bourbon casks from Kentucky. That qualifies it as Kentucky Straight Corn Whiskey.
On the nose there is oak, cinnamon and banana. The palate is soft and firm, with toffee, nuts, peanuts and maple syrup. The finish is spicy and creamy, with cinnamon and vanilla.
