Breckenridge A Blend High Proof is a blend of straight bourbons from Breckenridge Distillery in Colorado. It is bottled at 52.5% ABV (105 proof) in a 750ml bottle, the strength at which the distillers taste it during blending.
The mash bill is high in rye and the bourbon is aged for a minimum of three years. It was named World's Best Blended Whiskey at the 2023 World Whiskies Awards.
The nose brings rye spice, sugar cookie, caramel and toffee, with hints of orange, pine and mint. On the palate come dark caramel, toasted almonds, burnt chocolate and dried orange peel. The finish is medium, sweet and spiced, with rye and vanilla.
