Breckenridge – Bourbon Whiskey PX Sherry Cask Finish (75cl)

A Colorado bourbon from Breckenridge, finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and sold in a 75cl bottle. The casks are retired PX barrels from a solera hundreds of years old in Andalusia, Spain, which once held a dense, syrupy dessert wine made from raisined grapes. The finish adds layers of fig compote, orange marmalade and liquorice to the sweet oak and vanilla character of the bourbon.
