Breckenridge PX Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Breckenridge PX Cask Finish is a high-rye bourbon distilled and bottled by Breckenridge Distillery in Colorado, at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The bourbon is aged for a minimum of three years in new charred American oak, then finished in retired Pedro Ximenez sherry casks taken from a long-established solera in Andalusia, Spain. These casks add dried-fruit depth to the sweet oak and vanilla of the bourbon. The tasting notes mention fig compote, orange marmalade and licorice alongside the oak and vanilla, with almond butter and ripe sultanas noted too.
