Broken Barrel Single Oak Isle of Peat is an American whiskey bottled at 55% (110 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It blends Indiana wheat whiskey (54.5%) with Indiana single malt whiskey (45.5%), each aged at least one year.
It is the peated entry in the Single Oak Series, finished with charred staves reclaimed from Islay Scotch barrels. The staves stay in the blend for at least 30 days. Production was 6,600 bottles.
The nose offers wheat, smoke, peat and oak. The palate has campfire, charred spices and roasted nuts over a golden-honey body, and the finish brings nutmeg, dark fruit and clove.
