Brora – 30 Year Old - 2002 Release is a single malt whisky from Brora (Highland). Aged 30 years, bottled at 52.4% ABV, 70cl. Founded by Marquis of Stafford (later the Duke of Sutherland) in 1819, Brora Distillery originally operated as Clynelish for over a century until a new distillery was build right next door and the original distillery was closed. A year after the new Clynelish Distillery was built, the original distillery was reopened and in 1975, renamed as Brora Distillery. Unfortunately, in 1983 Brora Distillery was mothballed and its gates were closed for a long 38 years with Clynelish Distillery operating throughout just next door. Over the years Brora became a sought after single malt by collectors and connoisseurs from all over the world. Never the less, the distillery was awakened recently, in May 2021, after a few years of restoration work. The Brora 30 Year Old was released in 2002 from the Brora distillery in the Highlands. This is a limited bottling and one of only 3000 bottles released.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
