This is the 12th release of Brora 35 Years Old, a 1977 single malt from the Highlands distillery that has since closed. It was launched in 2013 at a natural cask strength of 49.9%, in a 70cl bottle, with 2,944 bottles produced. The whisky matured for 35 years in a mix of refill American oak and European oak casks. The nose is earthy, with waxy honeycomb, wood ash and a little peat smoke. The palate has understated peat alongside waxiness, sweetness and mild smoke, and the finish lingers with soft smoke, wood ash and waxed fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
