Brother's Bond Bottled in Bond Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

Brother's Bond Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the whiskey house founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. It is aged for a minimum of seven years and bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 51% corn, 39% rye and 10% malted rye, which puts rye at close to 40% of the grain. As a bonded whiskey, it comes from a single distillery and a single distilling season. Tasting notes describe caramel, vanilla and cinnamon on the nose, with dark cherry and rye spice. The palate brings brown sugar, clove, black pepper and toasted oak, and the finish is long and warm with lingering rye.
