Brother's Bond Bottled in Bond is a 7 year old high-rye bourbon distilled at the MGP Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 750ml bottle, and was co-founded by the actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.
The mashbill is 51% corn, 39% rye and 10% malted rye. It was distilled in a single season, aged in a bonded warehouse and is non-chill-filtered.
The nose shows Port-like richness, toasted oak, caramel and vanilla. The palate brings brown sugar, maple syrup, baking spice, raisin and fig jam, and the finish is velvety, with toasted oak, caramel and gentle rye spice.
