Brothers of the Leaf Bourbon Finished in Toasted French Oak Casks

This is a small-batch straight bourbon from Brothers of the Leaf, finished in toasted French oak casks. The finish adds layers of spice, dark fruit and toasted sugar to the caramel and vanilla of the bourbon itself. It belongs to the Brothers of the Leaf line of bourbons with distinctive oak finishes. The nose opens with brown sugar, clove and baked apple. On the palate there are vanilla bean, dark cherry and nutmeg, with a creamy mouthfeel and an oak backbone. The finish is long and warm, with spice and toasted wood.
