Brothers of the Leaf Straight Rye is an American rye whiskey made in small batches and finished in toasted white oak casks. It is one of a range from the brand, each finished in a different oak.
The finish softens the natural intensity of the rye with vanilla, honeycomb and baking spice.
The nose is led by rye spice with anise, toasted marshmallow and orange zest. On the palate come clove, charred oak and vanilla cream, and the finish is long and warm with a peppery sweetness.
