Brotte Vacqueyras

This is a red wine from Vacqueyras, an appellation in the southern Rhône, made by the house of Brotte. The vines average about 40 years old and yields are around 35 hl per hectare. The grapes are picked by hand, destemmed and then sorted by hand, and the house uses French oak barrels. The nose has good depth, with leather and ripe dark fruit. The palate is full-bodied with the elegance typical of Rhône wines, and the finish keeps its focus on ripe fruit.
