This is a Bruichladdich 10 year old Islay single malt from the 1980s, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV, and it comes in its box. Like its neighbour Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich has traditionally made unpeated malt, mostly because the blenders who owned it needed that style. The last of them, Whyte & Mackay, closed the distillery in 1995. Murray McDavid bought it in 2001 and launched the peated Port Charlotte in 2006 and the heavily peated Octomore in 2008. A recommissioned Lomond still there now also produces Botanist gin.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
