This Bruichladdich from Islay was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2024 after 14 years, as a single cask release in the Whisky Agency's Christmas Series 2024. It matured in a Rivesaltes barrique and is bottled at 50.9% ABV.
The nose is built around juicy raisins and a touch of cinnamon, with other festive spices, then sweet caramel and toffee and soft espresso. On the palate the raisins return with ripe plums and cinnamon, and the espresso becomes a more intense coffee note.
The finish is long, with raisins lingering alongside milk chocolate and a light coffee note.
