Bruichladdich – 18 Year Old

This is The Bruichladdich Eighteen, an 18 year old single malt matured entirely on Islay, mostly in Bourbon casks. A small number of Sauternes and Port casks are vatted with the Bourbon casks for nine months before bottling. It comes from a distillery that reopened in 2001, and the bottle is wrapped in moulded, fully recyclable paper pulp. Tasting notes describe a full body, with honey, butterscotch and orange citrus on the palate, alongside tropical fruits and mellow oak.
