This is the fourth edition of Black Art, an unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2013 at 23 years old, at 49.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. Master Distiller Jim McEwan created it using American and French oak, and he alone knows the make-up of the casks. The nose has crystallised grapes over honey, with lemon and lime beneath. On the palate there is chocolate, coconut, tangerine and papaya, with barley sugar, cinnamon and aniseed. The finish is grilled peach and apricot sprinkled with demerara sugar.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
