Bruichladdich – 2003 22 Year Old Single Cask Little Brown Dog (70cl, 53.6%)

This is a 22 year old single cask Bruichladdich from a bourbon barrel, filled on 25 May 2003 and bottled on 21 October 2025. It is bottled at 53.6% in a 70cl bottle, and only 140 bottles were filled. It was passed through a 20 micron filter, wider than the usual finer ones, to stay close to the whisky as it comes from the cask and to preserve the texture of the spirit. Some very fine cask char sediment may settle in the bottle. The label is an oil painting by the Danish artist Bjarne Helverskov Abdersen. It recalls the dunes at Kintra on Islay and was painted by the grandfather of the friend from whom the cask was acquired.
