This is the 2010 Islay Barley release from Bruichladdich, a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, distilled and bottled by the distillery itself. It was bottled in 2010 at 50% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky has matured in ex-bourbon and French wine casks.
Juicy pear and crisp citrus zest lead the nose. The palate is creamy vanilla with toffee and almond, and the finish is lingering orange peel with a hint of smokiness.
