Black Art 11.1 is a 24 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, released at the end of 2023 in a 70cl bottle at 44.2% ABV. It is bottled without colouring or chill filtration.
The Black Art releases celebrate the skills of the distillery's Master Blenders, and no cask recipe is disclosed for them.
The official notes describe a rich tawny colour. The nose combines dried fruit, leather, citrus and a fresh sea breeze with poached pear, black cherry and mango. On the palate come dates, raisins, butterscotch and toasted oak. The finish is oak and dried fruit with Christmas cake notes and honey.
