Bruichladdich – 30 Year Old (75cl, 43.2%)

This is a 30-year-old unpeated Islay single malt, bottled at 43.2% ABV, and the flagship of Bruichladdich's Luxury Redefined range, launched in February 2024. It is non-chill filtered, with no added colour. The spirit was distilled in 1989, 1991 and 1992, the last made before the distillery was mothballed in 1994. It matured entirely on Islay in ex-bourbon casks, and spent its final ten years in fresh bourbon wood. The tasting notes describe a honeyed, layered whisky with crème brûlée, toasted oak, dried apricot and tropical fruit. The mouthfeel is waxy and textural, and the finish is long, warm and elegant.
