Bruichladdich 3D 'The Peat Proposal' is an Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a vatting built around the number three: three different vintages, three cask types and three peating levels.
The vintages were distilled in 1989, 1998 and 2001. They were matured in refill sherry casks, refill bourbon casks and first-fill bourbon casks.
Bruichladdich was revived in 2000 by the independent bottler Murray McDavid, after a period of mothballing under Whyte & Mackay.
