This is an unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made from Bere barley grown on Islay and distilled in 2010. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Bere is thought to be the first cereal planted in Britain. Its grains are smaller and more compact than those of ordinary barley. After eight years in ex-bourbon American oak casks on Islay, the whisky is malty and intense, with nuts and chocolate. This is a limited edition of 220 bottles.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
