Bruichladdich Black Art 11.1 is a 24 year old single malt from Islay, the 2023 edition, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose opens with dried fruit, leather and a hint of citrus, then a fresh sea breeze, poached pear, rose hip syrup, black cherry and mango. Cedar, butterscotch, praline, honey and cinnamon follow.
On the palate there are dates, raisins, barley sugar and toasted oak, with coconut, dark plums and marzipan. The finish brings oak and dried fruit, with Christmas cake notes of sultanas and fig and a lingering honey sweetness.
