Bruichladdich Black Art 1992 Edition 05.1 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Bruichladdich distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 48.4% ABV.
The nose shows ripe fruit including cherry, mango, apricot, plum and orange, over brown sugar, fig syrup, dark chocolate and deep vanilla, with touches of coconut, toasted almonds and herbal notes. The palate is velvety and coats the mouth, with melon, strawberry, pineapple and red berry compote, moving to seasoned wood, honey, pipe tobacco, cinnamon and nutmeg.
The finish is very long, with creamy stone fruit, floral hints, sweet oak, caramel and black pepper.
