Bruichladdich – Black Art Sapero 19 Years (70cl, 47.8%)

Bruichladdich Black Art Sapero is a 19 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 47.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in the new Black Art series from the distillery, and it was bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose is rich and layered, with dark chocolate, orange zest and a hint of black cherry, over honey, vanilla and roasted notes. On the palate it is bold yet smooth, with malted barley, maple syrup and caramelised brown sugar, warm spices and a subtle minerality. The finish is long and warm, with vanilla, oak, cocoa and light molasses sweetness.
