Classic Laddie is an unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made from 100% Scottish barley and bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The distillery, founded in 1881 on the shores of Loch Indaal, uses Victorian-era machinery including an open-top mash tun and Douglas Fir washbacks. Every stage from mashing to bottling takes place on Islay. The whisky won a Double Gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose is floral, with honeysuckle, chamomile, orchard fruit and honeyed barley. The palate brings red apple, white grape, baking spice and brown sugar. The finish is medium-long, with vanilla, caramel and apricot.
