Octomore 10.1 is a peated single malt from Bruichladdich, one of four Octomore bottlings in the tenth edition released in 2019. It was distilled in 2013 from 100% Scottish barley and matured for five years in ex-American oak casks. It is bottled at 59.8% in a 70cl bottle. For this edition Head Distiller Adam Hannett chose a clearly lighter smoke character than the first Octomore, which measured 131 ppm. Even so, the combination of smoke and a short maturation gives the structure and presence of a classic Octomore.
