Octomore 11.1 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 59.4% abv in a 70cl bottle.
It was distilled in 2014 from 100% Scottish barley of the 2013 harvest, then filled into active first fill ex-American oak casks, where it spent five years. Smoke is paired with sweet vanilla from the wood.
The peat on the palate is big, yet it sits in balance with clean fruit and floral notes.
