Bruichladdich – Octomore 12.2 (70cl)

Bruichladdich Octomore 12.2 is a heavily peated, heavily phenolic single malt in a 700ml bottle. The spirit spent three and a half years in ex-American oak casks before being recasked into Sauternes casks for a further 18 months. It follows earlier Sauternes releases from Octomore, including Octomore 4.2 (Comus), which paired heavy peat smoke with the sweet dessert wine. Here, melon, white peach, honeysuckle and coconut sit alongside the peat smoke.
