Octomore 13.2 is made by Bruichladdich on Islay from Scottish malted barley with a very high peating level, and is counted among the most heavily peated whiskies ever made. It was matured entirely in American oak and European ex-sherry oak casks.
The nose offers waves of peat smoke, burnt caramel, candied citrus, spice, leather and vanilla, with marine touches. The palate is powerful, creamy and smoky, with honey, cocoa, black pepper and dried fruit. The finish is very long, smoky and complex.
