Octomore 15.2 is a super heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 57.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2018 from Scottish Mainland Concerto barley and peated to 108.2 PPM.
After five years it was matured in second fill wine and bourbon casks, then finished in first fill Cognac casks.
The nose combines sweet citrus, lime zest and lemon meringue with toasted oak, light smoke, tropical fruit and roasted coffee beans. The palate is velvety and viscous, with vanilla custard, caramel, toffee, black pepper and cinnamon. The finish is long and maritime, with sea salt and peat embers.
