Octomore 16.3 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, released in 2025 and bottled at 61.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made only from Concerto barley grown on Octomore Farm, and its phenol level is 189.5 ppm. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The spirit was distilled in 2019 from the 2018 harvest, then matured for five years in a combination of bourbon, Sauternes and Pedro Ximenez casks.
The nose brings heather, bonfire smoke, barley sugar and fresh bread, with citrus and crisp green apple. On the palate there is honeyed malt, toasted grain and earthy notes, alongside lemon, vanilla, sea salt, coconut and heather. The finish is medium in length, with sweet barley, light floral notes, gentle smoke and a mineral touch.
