Octomore 17.1 is a five year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at a cask strength of 59.7% in a 70cl bottle. It opens the 2026 Octomore releases and is made from heavily peated barley at 81 PPM.
It matured in first-fill bourbon and American whiskey casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose offers ripe pear and sweet malt, with vanilla, light peat smoke and a gentle maritime note. On the palate, intense peat and mineral ash meet dry oak, malt and vanilla. The finish is long and dry, with lingering ash, smoke, maritime spice and a fine malty sweetness.
