Octomore 17.1 is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 59.1% ABV. The barley is 100% Scottish Mainland Concerto, peated to 101.4 PPM, and the spirit matured on Islay in first-fill bourbon barrels. It is uncoloured and non-chill filtered.
The nose offers butterscotch, caramel and vanilla custard with toasted coconut, citrus and a fresh maritime note. Barley sugar, tropical fruit and gentle oak spice open the palate before dry, earthy peat smoke arrives. The finish is long and warming, with malt sweetness, minerality and lingering smoke.
