Octomore 17.3 is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 61.4% ABV. The Concerto barley was grown on Islay and harvested at Octomore Farm, then peated to 189.5 PPM. The spirit matured on Islay in first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill European oak casks. It is uncoloured and non-chill filtered.
The nose is distinctly maritime, with sea spray, tar and earthy peat smoke alongside vanilla, caramel and toasted coconut. Orchard fruit and citrus freshen the intense smoke on the palate, with sweet malt, oak and mineral notes beneath. The finish is long and dry, with persistent peat, salinity and a coastal character.
