A peated Islay single malt from the Octomore range at Bruichladdich, made under master distiller Jim McEwan. It is made from barley grown on Islay, from Lorgba Field farmed by James Brown, together with island peat, and matured in bourbon casks. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colouring. The nose is hot and fatty, with tar and brown butter. On the palate a delicate lemon peat note meets salt, with an oily, creamy texture. The finish stays buttery, with a sweet and salty lemon glaze note, and lasts a long time.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
