Octomore Edition 17.1 is a five year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich and the first expression in the 2026 Octomore 17 Series. It is bottled at 59.7% ABV (119.4 proof) in a 700ml bottle.
The barley is 100% Scottish mainland Concerto, malted to 81.0 PPM, and the whisky spent its whole maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels on Islay.
The nose is vanilla milkshake, custard, sweet malt and pear drops, with earthy peat and coastal freshness behind. The palate is rich vanilla cream and orchard fruit turning to dry smoke, charred oak and ash. The finish is long and smoky, with a clean, mineral edge.
