Octomore Edition 17.2 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 59.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2020 from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley of the 2019 harvest, malted to 81.0 PPM.
The whisky is five years old. It spent four years in second-fill French oak casks that had held Californian red wine and then bourbon, before a finishing period in first-fill port barriques.
