Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich Distillery, bottled at 50% ABV. The peating level is around 40 ppm phenol, and the whisky was distilled in the distillery's tall, narrow-necked stills. It spent ten years maturing mostly in first-fill and second-fill American whiskey casks, with some second-fill French wine casks in the mix. The nose combines barbecue peat, vanilla and white sugar with citrus, seaweed and bonfire smoke. The palate is smoky and savoury, with vanilla, caramel, honey, black pepper, clove, apple and banana. The finish is long and warm, with smoke, toffee, coastal salinity and a little wood tannin.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
