Port Charlotte PAC:01 2011 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 56.1% abv. It is the newest edition in the distillery's Cask Exploration series. Two parcels of spirit distilled from Scottish barley matured for a minimum of six years in ex-American oak casks. They were then transferred to red wine casks from the left bank of the Gironde, north of Bordeaux. The result is described as soft, barbecue-smoky and peated, with spice and fruit notes.
