The Classic Laddie is Bruichladdich's flagship single malt from Islay, now carrying a ten-year age statement and bottled at 50%. The distillery reopened in 2001, and the stocks it has built since then allowed the move to a permanent age statement. It is non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose offers orchard fruit, toasted oak and delicate floral notes, followed by fresh lemon and orange. On the palate, candied peel and stone fruit are balanced by malted barley sugar and ground almonds, with a slightly salty note. The finish is long, with a lasting touch of citrus.
