Bruichladdich – The Laddie Rye 7 Year Old Single Grain Scotch

This is a seven-year-old rye whisky from Bruichladdich, labelled as a single grain Scotch. The distillery stands on Islay. Bruichladdich was built in the late 1880s and was resurrected in 2001. It was unusual on an island known for heavily peated whiskies in making an unpeated malt, and it now also produces the peated Port Charlotte and Octomore. The distillery is known for experimenting with barley varieties, including the old variety Bere, and more than 40% of its malting barley is now grown on the island.
