The Laddie Rye is a rye whisky from Bruichladdich, distilled on Islay from locally grown rye and Islay malting barley. The grain can be traced from farm to glass.
It was aged in a combination of bourbon barrels and virgin American oak. The aim is a balance between the spicy character of the rye and the smooth vanilla notes that the oak gives.
