A Brunello di Montalcino DOCG from Poggio alle Mura, produced by Banfi. It is an expression of Sangiovese Grosso from the Montalcino area of Tuscany. Ageing in oak barrels adds depth to aromas of ripe red fruit, sweet spice and light balsamic notes. On the palate it is enveloping and harmonious, with soft tannins and a long persistent finish. It pairs with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
