Bruno Giacosa 1997 Barbaresco Falletto Asili (14%)

A 1997 Barbaresco DOCG from Bruno Giacosa, combining the Falletto and Asili names on the label. It is an evolved wine, with a more mature colour, emerging tertiary traits and complexity shaped by time. In the glass it shows notes of ripe fruit, light earthy suggestions and subtle spices, with tannins now smoothed and a savoury return on the finish; the profile remains harmonious and measured. It suits roast red meats or aged cheeses, or can be enjoyed on its own as a historic expression of the house.
