Buchanan's 12 Year is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made from malt and grain whiskies from Scottish distilleries, each matured for at least 12 years in oak casks. The brand goes back to James Buchanan, who founded his whisky business in London in 1884.
Honey and fresh citrus lead the nose, with vanilla and light oak. The palate is clean and honeyed, with orange peel and milk chocolate coming through in a medium body. The finish is of medium length, with vanilla, soft oak and a little citrus zest.
