Buchanan's 18 Year is a blended Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made from whiskies aged for a minimum of 18 years, in the house style of the brand James Buchanan founded in London in 1884.
The long ageing brings dried fruit, walnut and warming oak to a smooth blend.
On the nose there is dried fruit, toasted walnut, honey and a trace of gentle smoke. The palate is rich with dried fruit, warm spice, hazelnut and oak in balance, and the finish is long and warm, with lingering fruit and subtle spice.
