Buchanan's De Luxe 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky at 40% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It combines malt and grain whiskies, all matured for twelve years, and was distilled, blended and bottled in Scotland. It is the core blend of a house founded by James Buchanan in 1884, now a Diageo brand.
The nose is citrus and honey. The palate is sweet and smooth, with orange and chocolate over the honeyed citrus and a rounded, easy body. The finish is smooth and lingering, the citrus and chocolate fading together.
